Boat Tours, Charter Fishing & Guided Duck Hunts in the Low Country
Low Man Charters
If you want to experience whatever the south Atlantic low country has to offer, book a guided boat tour, fishing trip, or duck hunt with Captain Patrick Vereen at Low Man Charters.
On fishing trips, we target a large variety of species both inshore and offshore. Considering what is biting and various wind/weather conditions, we will endeavor to meet your needs. Our fishing boat is a 2019 27ft Robalo called "Forgiveness" .
Duck hunting trips target sea ducks and divers, namely blue bills, and common scoters just off the coastal marsh in the open ocean on a greyed-out 20ft 1989 Proline Sportsman, also known as "SS Practical".
River Tours can be just a cruise on the marsh, a dolphin tour, or you can book a trip to Savannah's historic River Street.
Our trips offer an opportunity to explore the south Atlantic waters, hoping to have the gear and knowledge to pursue anything the low country has to offer, whether you are a seasoned angler or even new to boating.

Meet Captain Pat

Growing up in rural southwest Georgia, I spent many days on the Gulf of Mexico duck hunting and fishing. In 2019 I went to college at GSU and started fishing and hunting on the South Atlantic coast in the low country. I have decided that because of the plentiful dolphins, landmarks, vacationers, offshore fishing structure, and the high volume eastern sea duck migration, that it is a worthy cause to run trips in the low country, particularly Hilton Head.
So, I have set my sails to run boat tours, and teach others the hunting and fishing knowledge I have as a service.
Our main concern on adventures is that we seek to enjoy God's creation fruitfully. In accordance with love, joy, peace, patience etc. Aboard our boats we labor not for fish or ducks, which surely perish. But we labor for God, through Jesus Christ, who created the heavens and the earth, and looks on those who believe in Him with favor. For this we sing songs of victory, rain or shine, ease or toil, little or plenty. We seek not that our results would bring joy, but rejoice that our labor is in the Lord. Amen:)
FACTS
We love taking families, including children, fishing, hunting, and on tours:)
No fishing licenses are required on any fishing trips. However, you will need a hunting license, federal duck stamp, and a hunters safety course for duck hunts.
The fish we target will depend on the time of year, weather conditions, and your preferences.
Inshore we target redfish and trout year round, we target sheepshead in the transition times.
Offshore we offer nearshore reef, bottom fishing, and gulf stream trolling trips. Reef trips we go for king mackerel, spanish mackerel, blue fish, sheepshead, cobia, etc. and we travel 10-25 miles from the shoreline. Bottom trips we target trigger fish, vermillion snapper, red snapper, grouper, amber jack, almaco jack etc. and travel 20-90miles from the shoreline. Lastly, on trolling trips we target wahoo, mahi, and tuna. Price of trips vary based on the distance we plan to travel.
On Duck Hunts we mostly hunt open water for Common Scoter and Blue Bills
